Hi, I’m Sophie — canine behaviourist, CPA, and the person behind Penny & Co.

Penny, my English Setter, is the reason it all started. She was my first sporting dog and quickly showed me what real adventure looks like — long days outside, in any weather. It didn’t take long to realize most gear just couldn’t keep up. Nothing fit quite right or lasted the way it should.

Penny & Co grew out of that need for something better — durable, practical gear that actually works in real life. Every product is designed, built, and tested here, with my own dogs: Penny, Oliver (Vizsla), and Fezco (Malinois). Between hikes, training, and dog sports, they make sure everything holds up before it ever reaches anyone else. Our gear is built to handle it all—just like the dogs it’s made for.

My background as a CPA gave me gave me the business know-how, but my dogs are what give it meaning. They’re the reason behind every design, every material, every choice. Every design, every product, every detail is inspired by the real, messy, beautiful life I share with them. Our logo represents Penny’s view—her eyes on the trail ahead, always leading the way like she always does. She’s the first one up the path, the first to catch the scent of adventure, and the one we’re all following, in more ways than one. It’s her world we’re exploring and she’s still the one that reminds me why I started this in the first place.
